I came across this Pin on Pintrest the other day.

Well...#20 is just a 30 minute drive from my house.

Iv mentioned it a few times how crowded this place is and that I have stayed away because of that, but now that it has made this article, I just needed to take it off my list of things I had to do here. 

Hunauma Bay 

Iv done the Hunauma Bay Hike twice.

Iv seen it from a distance while hiking Koko Head.

It has now been accomplished and I can say that I have been there and done that.

 Can we just talk about how hard it is to take a good picture of a fish!

 I'm not sure if the water is usually a little clearer on other days, but in my opinion I wouldn't have voted it #20...it wouldn't have even made the list...(the pictures might look pretty clear, but it was definitely a little dusty down there)....still a nice time in the water tho!

We went a little later hoping that the tour buses had left for the day (which they had), but the tide was high so that could have stirred up the murkiness a little.  

 Another beautiful Hawaiian day!

17 Week Dr Appointment

Mike is home!!!...and came with me to his first baby appointment.

We went to the Fetal Development Dr. again for the screenings of our baby's growth progress. 

Everything is still right on track and looking good!

Laie Falls

 Looking at Yelp and Trip Adviser, there are posts with all different time frames saying how long its going to take to get to the falls. People say 45 min to 3 hours.

 The 45 min people must be marathon runners. 

 The hike to the falls is up hill the whole way. It took us about 2.5, close to 3 hours going up (not totally sure) and maybe a hour down. Stopping to catch our breath and take a crap load of pictures. 

It really felt like it was a lot longer.

 The Strawberry Guava maze just kept going and going...and going. 

This is the point where I wanted to throw in the towel and call it quits. Literately felt like it was 5 miles long...and the fruit fly's just made it that much worse!

 FINALLY!

This was the smaller waterfall below Laie Falls

And finally the reason we came.

I was hoping that it would have rained recently in Laie for more of a water flow. 

This was pretty dinky for all the work it was to get there.

 Sweaty!
I can definitely tell I have gained those 7 lbs.

Kamehameha Ridge Trail

Or better known as Dead Mans Cat Walk.

Easy hike that is on Private Property.

Iv been on a few hikes that had No Trespassing signs displayed, but I had yet to have any issues...

So we never made it to our actual destination on this hike. We were stopped by workers and told to turn around feet from where the Cat Walk was.
Bummer!
But little do they know....

Sacred Oahu

Quick stop to one of the sacred areas on the southern side of the island.

Heiaus are stone formations made by Hawaiians where they go to warship their Gods. 

Ku Heiau Makapu'u in Kaupo Village.

I guess most of this sacred area was destroyed when they built the Kamehameha Highway 

(the road next to this area).

 Such a beautiful, peaceful area...except for the highway next door.

I had a full bladder, so I had to bite the bullet and scope out the lady's room. 

You never know what your going to get in a parks bathroom.

I have done it all wrong, but I dont care

   Yes, I change my bed sheets everyother day!

and comforter! 

    Yes, I should buy stock in laundry detergent! 

Yes, This is looked down upon by trainers.

Yes, I haven't had night where I didn't wake up at least one time in over 6 years to readjust.

(except when I had too much to drink) 

 Yes, I constantly make comments that we need to purchase a King size.

But days when I wake up to this:

are days that I think it is all worth it. 

I would have it NO other way!

Sunrise

 Lanikai sunrise once again.
You wake up before the crack of dawn to get out there and hike up, so when you don't actually see the sun because of the cloud cover it is a little disappointing. There were still beautiful colors to start the day though.
