Walk in the Park

Wanting to get a little fresh air but not wanting to make it a "all day" thing, Mike, Emma and I headed to the gardens near our home.
I knew I was going to be bringing my camera, so I put Emma in her new Hawaiian dress.  :)
It was pretty muddy out so we stuck to only one area of the park.

3 Months

My sweet girl was 3 months old yesterday.
She is still doing wonderfully.
I'm just so lucky.
She is still loving all of the things I have mentioned before.
Bath time, walks with Bolo, car rides, looking in the mirror, meal time, her Ergo, daddy kissing her feet.

Her dislikes are pretty much the same also.
The nasal aspirator, getting out of the bath and being hungry.

Emma has been very vocal as of lately.  I try to hurry and get my video recorder or phone out to record all of her sweet sounds but as soon as I do she doesn't want to talk anymore.
I have to be more sneaky I guess.

Postpartum for me has been a little rough lately.
Actually in just one specific area.
Hair loss.
 It has been brutal!

Nothings Changed

Do you remember these?
I put these sleeping poses together when Emma was less then a month old.

Well as you can tell...we are still really comfortable in that position!

Taking pictures while she is sleeping will never get old.

Punchbowl Cemetery

On the island of Oahu, we are lucky enough to have the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
Punchbowl - in Hawaiian "Puowaina" meaning Hill of Sacrifice.

IN THESE GARDENS ARE RECORDED
THE NAMES OF AMERICANS
WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES
IN THE SERVICE OF THEIR COUNTRY
AND WHOSE EARTHLY RESTING PLACE
IS KNOWN ONLY TO GOD
Leading up to Memorial Day (Decoration Day), people volunteer to make and place lei's on over 53,000 graves.  (sadly as we were leaving they were doing this)
The day Mike, Emma and I went the boy scouts were distributing the flags.

These pictures do no justice.
This place is so amazingly beautiful.

Mommy Time

Mike took a little leave this past week so I had the opportunity to get out of the house for a few hours and have some "me" time.
I could not think of anything better (during my "me" time) to be doing then snorkeling.
Headed to a favorite spot hoping and praying the water would be calm.

It was perfect!
There were about 4 or 5 of these guys having lunch and hanging out.

I couldn't have asked for a better few hours.

Judd Trail

The Judd Trail is a easy hike that is located on the the rainy side of the island.
This place cant get much greener.
A lot of the jungle scenes from LOST was filmed here

 Swimming hole (jackass ginger pool)
Emma wasn't able to look around the way she wanted to. After I took her out she was one happy baby.

Bolo and Emma

Bolo is 9 years old.
Change is hard when your an old man.
I could tell he was a little unsure about the change when we brought Emma home.
I too, was a little apprehensive about my brand new baby and a 90 lbs dog that still acts like a puppy sometimes.

But look who finally loves their sister!

I cant forget the hundreds of photos I have like this tho...

My First Mothers Day

The day was spent on the beach...don't be too jealous...it was a little rainy.

This stupid tent is the most pain in the butt ever!
I recommend NOT purchasing it!

I want to thank my husband for giving me the most amazing gift ever!
My Little Emma,
and making this day special.
