Day Out

I went to bed so early last night that I woke up bright and early today. I decided to venture out with Bolo because we both don't want to sit home on such a beautiful day.  If anyone has ever met my dog they know that he has a lot of energy! He is a mature adult that acts like a puppy when he is in the car. We don't do a lot of car rides just because he is kind of a jerk when hes in it. He loudly barks for the first 10 minutes to the point where you don't want to roll down any windows and you want to cover your face while you drive because your so embarrassed. Every time you stop at a stop light, the barking starts again so you pray that the light turns green before you get to it.
Mike got Bolo while he was still at college so there was not a lot of car time for him to get use to. He gets so excited when he gets in, its almost like a panic attack. So on that note, we don't really take him everywhere that we could. If we are out somewhere that he could be I feel bad that he is not with us. So it is now my goal to get him better in the car.
I decided that today we would travel to The Makapu‘u Point trail, just because I had been there before and I knew what I was getting myself in to. I wouldn't mind going to other trails but I
don't want to go into some jungle and not be able to find my way back when I am all alone.
Getting closer to where the trail is, I am noticing that there are a lot of car's lined on the side of the road taking pictures of the scenic views. Finally arriving to our destination and laughing at myself because all of Oahu is in the parking lot... I drove right past. (what was i thinking going on a sunday) We found a beach down the road a little and I parked so he could get out and have some fun. I wasn't planning on him getting wet so I brought no towels with me.
So afterwards a bath for the pup and a cleaning of the car.

Its hard to see them but I swear theses are the kind of fish that they sell in the pets stores!

A foot of water...clear as day.

It has felt like the longest day ever today. That's not a good sign because I'm trying to wish this month away.

  1. Aw You and Bolo look like your having a great time in Hawaii! And the water looks amazing (and super clean!)... I'm so jealous. The ocean water here is freeeeezing all year round so I don't think I'll be able to swim in it a lot. :(

Have you looked into snorkeling there yet? I just remembered swimming in Hanauma Bay and it was awesome.

    1. Its definitely pretty amazing here! You'll just have to get use to the water there because swimming is a must if you live 3 min away. :) I haven't looked in to snorkeling yet. I first have to get Mikes butt to swim let alone snorkel.
