Weekend~part 1

 (This is really stupid, I just had to share) I spent about 2 hours cleaning this nasty, discussing hotel that we are having to live in. I had just got done washing the floor twice (I like it extra clean) and go to fill up the dog bowls and....ya... I was pissed. I forgot to close the container that its in and went to pour out of the spout. And this is not the first time this has happened!!! Lets just say I spent another 10 min with the Pinsol.

Anyways....

 Last night Mike and I attended a get together with all of the Officers in his Company for the start of a celebration for his Lieutenant Colonel that is going to be leaving. I met a lot of the lovely wives and cant wait to get to know them better.

   Mike also has been thinking about a new tattoo for a wile now. He was going to get one in North Carolina from Charlie (the girl that came in 3rd in the show, Best Ink). Her husband and Mike went to TBS together and was stationed in N.C for the last month we were there. He never really checked her shop out because he thought she was going to be to busy (and frankly so was he). So after asking around where the best spot to go was in Ohau, everyone that he talked to hands down said 808 Tattoo. So 2 weeks ago we went in to find a shop full of people waiting.(good sign) He talked to someone about drawing up what he wanted and they told him the next time they had available would be last night.
     St. Michael Archangel was the war-cry of the good angels in the battle fought in heaven against satan and his followers. He is known as the protector of a few things but one of them is the Marine. Mike decided to stay true to the bible and get the prayer in Latin.

 Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen.

He really wasn't walking in there expecting to get something so big, because it was lettering though, I guess its recommended so the words don't run together after it gets older. I'm also glad its something other then a memorial tattoo. (like his other ones)(its not for something sad)  He was such a trooper too. The ribs are absolutely, hands down the worst place to get tattooed. The guy tattooing  was shocked that he was able to sit without a break for a hour.
   After Mike gets home from golfing with a few of the guys today, we are going to make our way to the zoo. We literately live 10 feet away from it but haven't been yet. Its Military Appreciation Day there, (free) so it took that for him to finally say yes to my bugging about going.

    1. Its kinda weird. Its a hotel that each room is owned by a actual person. So each room is different. We just happen to get a place that is dumpy, (refection of the guy that owns it) Iv seen some nice rooms though here. We would move, but it is SOOO hard to find somewhere to stay monthly that allows 2 dogs (let alone a 80lb one) If you guys say in Waikiki you will have so much fun! Lots to do and see here!!!
      R you going to get TLA? if so they have specific hotels that you can choose from..you probably already new that :)

    1. Last time Mike checked we r #2 on the list. But because PCS time is here we could always be bumped back. It depends on how long we have been married I guess. (makes no sense) So someone married longer then us will get the house first. BS!
